Our Mission is to CONNECT. GROW. SHARE.
NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR: Hello, my name is Kari Harvey, the director of Women’s Ministry at Lakewood Park Baptist Church. Our current theme in Women’s Ministry is, “A cord of three stands is not easily broken” Ecc. 4:12. In this passage of scripture, Solomon speaks of a man all alone which “is meaningless”. He asks, “if he falls down,” who is there to pick him up? This makes me really sad. We were created for companionship: FIRST with GOD, and second with others. In our ministry, it is my hope and desire that you be encouraged in this; To first be in companionship with your creator, the one who “knit you together in your mothers womb” as David writes in Psalm 139, and then be in companionship with others of like mind and spirit ~ directing each other in TRUTH based on His Word. I would love to meet you and connect you with His word, encourage you in your growth with Him, and help you connect with other women who love Jesus!! We have so many fun things that we do within Women’s Ministry ~ but one thing is for certain, Jesus is the center, and His Spirit is alive in us today. Whether it be through Bible Studies, MOPS (connecting and serving younger moms), filling the freezer for those in need, sending cards of encouragement, meeting together in prayer, or just gathering in fellowship, I hope you will come and experience companionship at Lakewood Park. Connecting with Jesus, Growing in Him, and Sharing with others by the testimony of your life.

Summer can be filled with all kinds of great activity. As we plan our days, let’s make a unified effort to include God, and “put on” the character of Christ. Let’s encourage each other to walk and talk with Him daily through pryer, Scripture reading, mediation, and Listening to Jesus. God is the only who does the work in our lives, but we need to be intentional with the time He as give us; cooperating with His process of growth in us. If you desire accountability, I encourage you to call a sister in Christ and ask to meet tougher this summer. Life is meant to be experienced together. “A cord of three stands is not easily broken” Ecclesiastes 4:12
